8 Rules for Quick Changeover Poster

This visual tool should be used in any workshop that involves the changeover of a machine or equipment, or that involves performing a setup reduction. This may encompass a changeover of an assembly line or a setup reduction workshop centered on the need to reduce the setup time in order to increase capacity.

The poster has been built from Shigeo Shingo and Hiroyuki Hirano’s commitment to SMED and JIT. It also communicates the commitment every company should have towards the importance of 5S on a daily / hourly basis. Use the 8 Rules for Quick Changeover during your workshop as a reminder of the processes of SMED and setup reduction. The principles are industry proven and should be followed closely, both as you lead workshops and  as you continue to improve after a workshop.

The poster allows the participants to agree to a process of setup reduction (SMED). It summarizes the principles of quick changeover in one large colorful form that can be place or hung on a wall in the training room or in specific departments. The text is in white to be read in less than ideal lighting.

The poster comes with a UV Film Coating to protect against dust and grime, fading due to light exposure, and oil from finger marks or machines.
