The employee has become more important than ever before in light of the economic recession, and it's pivotal that companies spend the necessary time to nurture and empower their workers so as to maximize their value.
B.T. Bangera, an Indian business executive, recently noted the importance of the human element to a company. During a time in which many businesses are trying to automate human tasks, the value of a motivated worker has never been higher. Bangera has long been a promoter of this human aspect of business and cites it as being his secret to success over the past three decades.
“The most important element in any company's success is how much it can empower its workers,” Bangera explains, speaking to The Hindu.
Bangera was also quick to point out the importance of managers playing the role of teacher. With a new generation of young people entering the workforce, the principles of Kaizen are doubly important so as to mold them into valuable parts of the company.
