Standard Work-In-Process (SWIP)
The minimum Work-In-Process needed to maintain Standard Work.
The parts of Standard WIP are:
- Parts completed and in the machine after auto cycle
- Parts placed in equipment with Cycle Times exceeding Takt Time
- Parts currently being worked on or handled by operators performing Standard Work
